Your ritual steps
The Purge (Sage)
Light the white sage smudge stick first. Holding it in your right hand, wave the smoke counter-clockwise around your room or body. Many people use this movement as a symbolic way of releasing what feels heavy or stagnant, making space for a fresher intention.
The Seal (Palo Santo)
Light the Palo Santo wood next. Holding it in your left hand, wave the aromatic smoke in a clockwise direction. This can feel like welcoming love, fresh intentions, a sense of abundance, care for your wellbeing, and a feeling of sanctuary in your home — whatever those words mean to you.
Align & Anchor
Hold your crystal collection in your palms. Take three slow, deep breaths, focusing entirely on the grounding strength you want to carry into your next chapter. Place your Black Tourmaline by your front door as a personal reminder of a safe, settled sanctuary.
Safety & fire warning
Never leave smouldering sage or Palo Santo unattended. Always burn on a thick, heat-resistant surface or fireproof bowl. Ensure all embers are completely extinguished in sand or water after use. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Use only in well-ventilated spaces.
Crystal meanings and practices are shared as gentle, supportive guidance for intention and reflection — not as medical advice or guarantees. Natural stones vary gently in tone and form.
